EL HUMANISMO DEMOCRATICO Y LA EDUCACION EN VENEZUELA LUISBELTRAN PRIETO FIGUEROA

RESUMEN
La educación esta ligada al humanismo como pensamiento filosófico, recinto escolar cuyo prisma es educar con autenticismo e integralidad debe estar bajo la doctrina delhumanismo, escuela que solo instruya no humaniza no cumple con la elevada misión de la educación, en el marco de tender a hacer al hombre verdaderamente mas humano desarrollando las virtualidades en él contenidas entendiendo que ser humano implica infinitas connotaciones, sentimientos , libertad, trascendencia, individualidad, es comunión , pero sin adoración a si mismo , respetando la dignidad y laprobidad de los comunes, es así que educación y humanismo son inseparables y constituyen temario para pensadores e idealistas de la educación en el mundo. En este marco de ideas se inserta el estudio de las ideas educativas de Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa (1902 -1993) insigne maestro de la educación Venezolana, bajo la mirada de su discurso, que en el contexto histórico de su época plasma laconcepción del humanismo democrático como respuesta a la coyuntura temporal que en materia educativa vivía el país, y como principio rector de toda formación educativa, Para Prieto Figueroa humanizar es democratizar, y democratizar es elevar al hombre y al conjunto de hombres a la superior dignidad de persona y el medio de personalizar, de completar la obra de la naturaleza en el hombre es tarea dela escuela. Por ello expresa que el fin supremo de la educación es: desarrollar las virtualidades del hombre, colocándolo en su medio y en su tiempo, al servicio de los grandes ideales colectivos y como una de sus principales tareas la de edificar hombres con miradas futuristas, hacia una conjunción de la practica y de lo humano capaces de comprender el ligamen de solidaridad entre los hombresque trabajan juntos para alcanzar el progreso, no para el beneficio individual solamente si no para el beneficio de todos. ABSTRACT
Education is linked to humanism as a philosophic thinking, the school precinct, whose objective is educate with authenticity and integrality should be underthe doctrine of humanism, a school that only instructs and does not humanize does not comply with the highest mission of education, in the framework of making the man truly more human, developing his virtues, and understanding that being a human implies endless connotations, feelings, freedom, transcendence, individuality; it is a communion, but without self-adoration, respecting dignity andintegrity of others. Therefore, education and humanism are inseparable and are a subject for thinkers and idealists of education in the world. The study of the education ideas of Luis Beltran Prieto Figueroa (1902 – 1993), a master of Venezuelan education, is within this framework of ideas, with the visión of hermeneutics as an interpretation method for his speech, which in the historical context ofhis time, reflects the concept of democratic humanism as an answer to the temporary education situation of the country, seeing democratic humanism as the guiding principle of all education. For Prieto Figueroa, humanizing means democratizing, and democratizing means rising men to a higher dignity as a well being, and it is the means for personalizing, completing the work of nature in men, which isthe duty of the school.
