Charlotte Brontë
She was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the famous Brontë sisters and recognized because of her random style of writing; inspired by Sir Walter Scott, William Wordsworthamong others. She became famous by Jane Eyre, Charlotte’s famous Gothic romance. She brought a change in the style of fiction, presenting an unconventional woman to be admired for her ability toovercome adversity. Charlotte was highly praised by such authors as William Makepeace and inspired many adaptations for television and film.

Born in 21 April 1816, at 74 Marker Street in the village ofThornton in Yorkshire County, England. She was the third daughter of six. Daughter of Maria Branwell and Patrick Brontë, an Irish Anglican clergyman. In 1820 they moved to the village of Haworth tolive in the Haworth Parsonage where her father was a Reverend. In 1821, Charlotte’s mother Maria died after a long pain with cancer. Her father provided her early education at home, and then sheattended to Clergy Daughter’s School at Cowan Bridge in Lancashire Country. It was a shocking change for them because back home they had a different lifestyle with their parents. Elizabeth and Mariasuddenly died because of tuberculosis; one of the causes of their death was the bad condition of the school. After the death of the sisters Charlotte and Emily returned home. Charlotte took the role of amother and a guardian for her sisters. Moreover, they didn’t have their father’s support. They started to create imaginary worlds. “Byronic”, was a product of this condition, written by Charlotte and herbrother.

Although she soon returned home to help her sisters she went back to school in 1831. By that time she had written her novel The Green Dwarf. On the other hand, in 1835, Charlotte becamea teacher at Roe Head but then she resigned. She fell in love with the married Heger, which inspires her novels Villete and The Proffesor.
