As a child, and throughout our grade school years, one makes dreams and set goals for the future. Since I was a child, I always knew I wanted to be in the medical field.  I longed to care and helpthe people who needed it. With a goal set I knew which route I wanted to take in order to get to that goal. But we tend to see life through a glass not taking into account the many obstacles life canthrow at you. At that point, the goal seems difficult to attain and far away to get to, so one becomes less focused and sometimes even gives up. Through the many life obstacles I have faced, I have hadto mature quicker than friends, organize and set priorities and finally make the compromise to get to that goal that has been set since I was a child.
Throughout a person’s life, one is faced withdifferent obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of up and downs related especially towards achieving my career goal of becoming a nurse. Whilesome give up on their goal because they believe the obstacle is too difficult to overcome, others like myself learn to overcome and achieve great success on their own will power. This will powerrequires one to mature quicker than others, such as your friends may do. For example, the great obstacle I have had to face has been to deal with my Father’s ongoing life illness. Having to manage hisillness along with my own life, friends and job has caused such a great impact on my education. I have had to put my education on hold on and off for the past seven years in order to care for him and workfull time, sometimes even work two-jobs in order to support the family and care for my Dad. While my friends are out living their life and working on their choice of career, I have had to grow up andmature quicker in order to take care of what are my priorities.
When one has to choose among several tasks, organization and setting priorities have to be made in order to be able to manage it all...
