North Korea–South Korea relations are the political, diplomatic, and military interactions between North Korea and South Korea, from thedivision of Korea to today.
The flag and capital city
The South Korean national flag is called Taegukki and it has a deep philosophical meaning that originates in theChinese philosophy of Yin and Yang. The Korean flag represents the origin of all things in the universe and perfect harmony and balance. And its capital is Seoul.
Thecapital city of North Korea is Pyongyang. The flag of North Korea consists of a red background with a blue horizontal stripe at the top and bottom of the flag. Just abovethe bottom blue stripe, and just below the top blue stripe, are thin white horizontal stripes. Towards the left of the North Korean flag on the red background lies a whitecircle with a red, five-pointed star in the middle of it.
