¨The French Revolution and the advent of the contemporary age¨
La sociedad francesa estaba dividida en estamentos dependiendo de sus clases sociales, el poder mas alto lo tenia el rey, detras estaban la nobleza y el clero y el nivel mas bajo de poder lo tenia el tercer estado que estaba constituido por la burguesia,los artesanos y los campesinos. French society was divided into strata depending on their social class, higher power was held by the king, behind was the nobility and the clergy and the lowest level of power, had the third state that was established by the bourgeoisie, artisans and peasants.
Los Estados Generales eran una asamblea, compuesta por tres ordenes separados: el clero, la nobleza y elgrupo formado por burguesia y campesinado. The Estates General was an assembly, composed of three separate orders: the clergy, the nobility and the group of bourgeoisie and peasantry. Este ultimo orden se conoce como el tercer estadeo, termino que usaremos parfa referirnos a el en lo sucesivo. This latest order is known as the third Estadea, a term referring to the PARF will use in the future.Dicha asamble se habia citado por ultima vez en 1614 y el dramatismo de la situacion obligo al gobierno a convocarla nuevamente. Luis XVI cedio a las presiones de la reina Maria Antonieta y del conde de Artois y dio instrucciones para que varios regimientos extranjerosleales se concentraran en Paris y Versalles. Louis XVI gave in to pressure from the Queen Marie Antoinette and the Comte d'Artois and instructed several foreign regiments loyal to concentrate on Paris and Versailles.
