Lifeof Pi and Macbeth Beliefs

In Yann Martels Life Of Pi and in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, both character have different belief systems. The two characters have a lot of differences like; charactersexperience different believe system, Pi beliefs in God, while Macbeth belief in witches, both see the different affects of their belief decision, and also they see the results of their belief system.Throughout both character’s journey, they have different beliefs system, Pi understand how important is God in his life, but for Macbeth, he beliefs in the dark and unexplainable power of the witches.Throughout Macbeth’s and Lady Macbeth’s journey, they describe how they are needed for help; “Come you spirits that tends on mortals thoughts unsex me here and fill me, from the crow to the toetop-full dirtiest cruelty! Make thick my blood...” (1.5.40) Likewise, Pi is very thoughtful and great full for everything. Even though he is struggling with his life, he appreciates God’s help; “This beacho soft, firm and vat, was like the cheek of God” (316). This shows that Pi and Macbeth belief system are very different. Macbeth shows a desperate attitude towards help, while Pi shows a great fulland understandable attitude towards the struggling. Both characters get affects and consequences because of their belief system.
Despite of their belief, their affects bring consequences. “Within thybloody and invisible hand cancel and tear to pieces that great bond which keeps me pale” (3.2.50) Macbeth, is talking about destroying something that scares him, and that is the loss of the

throne, which can be taken by Banqou’s sons. Instead Pi describes how he has to make hard decisions to survive in the Pacific Ocean. While his anger overcome him, he witness murder to survive...
