JACOBS,  was theeldest son of William Gage Jacobs and Sophia Wymark , when he was young her mother died, he studied in private schools, when he was in his twenties , hestarted writing for fun, writing from articles toshort stories, after this he started writing for magazines.

Jacobs is remembered for his mysterious tale "The Monkey's Paw and "The Toll House".
