Cloning
Cloning is one of the most controversial issues that currently exist. Is cloning the better alternative for the survival of species? First we most know what is cloning; it’s defined asthe process by which we achieve similar copies of an organism already developed sexually. This process will help us in many different aspects. The same has increased our life expectancy. The processof cloning is a wonder for scientists, but in the religion its no accepted. In this generation a favor and others are against cloning. There are people that it is very difficult to take are manyviews and they don’t know what to think. Even though for scientists, cloning has been a dream come true. As a result different types of cloning have been applied to different species: human, animal andplants.
Now that we know what is cloning I can mention the types of cloning. The cloning is divided into three types: molecular cloning, reproductive and therapeutic cloning. Molecularcloning, also called DNA cloning is the process in which only the DNA of a cell is replicated. It’s commonly used to amplify DNA fragments containing whole genes. It is used in a biological experimentsand practical applications. Next, reproductive cloning is a technology used to generate an animal that has the same nuclear DNA as another currently or previously existing animal. Human cloning alsofalls into this category. The process called “somatic cell nuclear transfer”, the DNA information from the nuclear of a cloner adult cell is copied into a cell whose nuclear has been removed.Finally, therapeutic cloning is similar to reproductive cloning; expect that the embryos are not allowed to develop fully. The purpose of therapeutic cloning is to extract the stem cells from the embryosand study them.
Today cloning is possible in humans, animals and plants. In human cloning scientists used DNA from skin cell and place it into the egg of a woman to obtain a cloned embryo. Most...
