Pachuca (Otomi: Njünthe 'Water Mill')? (Nahuatl: Patlachihuacan, Pachoacan, Pachyohcan 'Place of silver and gold, government Location, Location close'); formally Pachuca de Sotois a Mexican city, seat of the municipality of Pachuca and capital of the state of Hidalgo. The city has a population of 256,584 inhabitants, which corresponds to 95.78% of the municipal population of 267,862 has a human development index of 0.9022 (High). 8 and accounts for 13.6 percent of the gross state domestic product of Hidalgo .9
The city was founded in 1438 by a Mexican group, 4 in the New Spain was part of one of the most important mining centers, andthis is where, for the first time, the amalgamation method for obtaining silver was used, known as benefit patio.4 In 1869 Benito Juárez created the State of Hidalgo, designating as the state capital city of Pachuca.4
From 1824-1906, Pachuca and Real del Monte had a period of association with Cornwall, England, the Cornish community was established during the nineteenth century, only to declineduring the first half of the twentieth century, October 11, 12 This left various cultural influences in the region such as football and paste.10 November 12
Hosts the Pachuca Soccer Club, founded on November 28, 1901 by English miners; who became the first official football club Mexico.13 Reason for the city is known as the birthplace of soccer Mexicano.13 Pachuca is also considered the cradleof Mexican national tennis and golf for the stay of British miners, and also charrería considered the national sport of Mexico.14 15
The metropolitan area of Pachuca has a population of 511,981 inhabitants in an area of 1358.8 km2 and consists of 7 municipalities of Hidalgo (Pachuca de Soto, Mineral del Monte Mineral de la Reforma, San Augustine Tlaxiaca, Epazoyucan, Zapotlán andZempoala), 16 being the thirty Metropolitan Area Mexico.17
Gabriel García Márquez
(Aracataca, Colombia, 1928 - México D.F., 2014) Novelista colombiano. Afincado desde muy joven en la capital de Colombia, Gabriel García Márquez estudió derecho y periodismo en la universidad Nacional e inició sus primeras colaboraciones periodísticas en el diario El Espectador.
A los veintisiete añospublicó su primera novela, La hojarasca, en la que ya apuntaba los rasgos más característicos de su obra de ficción, llena de desbordante fantasía. A partir de esta primera obra, su narrativa entroncó con la tradición literaria hispanoamericana, al tiempo que hallaba en algunos creadores estadounidenses, sobre todo en William Faulkner, nuevas fórmulas expresivas.
Comprometido con los movimientos deizquierda, Gabriel García Márquez siguió de cerca la insurrección guerrillera cubana hasta su triunfo en 1959. Amigo de Fidel Castro, participó por entonces en la fundación de Prensa Latina, la agencia de noticias de Cuba. Tras la publicación de dos nuevos libros de ficción, en 1965 fue galardonado en su país con el Premio Nacional.
Sólo dos años después, y al cabo de no pocas vicisitudes condiversos editores, García Márquez logró que una editorial argentina le publicase la que constituye su obra maestra y una de las novelas más importantes de la literatura universal del siglo XX,Cien años de soledad.
La obra, en la que trabajó más de veinte años, recrea a través de la saga familiar de los Buendía la peripecia histórica de Macondo, pueblo imaginario que es el trasunto de su propio...
