Examples of words in literature
Alliteration is meant to be attention-grabbing, and is good for the memory. This is why you may have heard a lot of advertisements that have slogans that use alliteration.

CHARACTERIZATION
Characterization is the process by the writer reveals the personality of acharacter.
Example: “the tall boy and pretty girl waswaiting for his parents”
Explanation: The author explains the characterization of the children and the public knows the description. The boy is “tall” and the girl is “pretty”.
CONNOTATION / DENOTATIONThe denotation is a representation of a cartoon heart. The connotation is a symbol of love and affection, not in the way of a rose, but a symbol of true love.
FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE.
Metaphor : Theplanting of seed in the garden, in springtime is like making love.
Simile : Like ghost of sleigh bells.
Symbol : Water often deals with an emotional state.
FLASHBACK
An early example of analepsisis in the Ramayana and Mahabharata, where the main story is narrated through a frame story set in a later story.
