Extreme

Extreme es una banda de rock estadounidense que logró popularidad en la década de 1980 y principios la década de 1990.
Algunas de las influencias de Extreme son Queen, Led Zeppelin y VanHalen (Gary Cherone se unió a Van Halen por un tiempo para luego retirarse). Extreme clasifica su música como "Funky metal".
Extreme ha publicado cinco álbumes de estudio, dos EP (en Japón)y dos compilaciones desde su formación. La banda fue una de los más exitosas de los de principios de los años 1990, con venta de más de 10 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo.[1] Extremesaltó a la fama en 1990 con el álbum Pornograffitti, que llegó a su punto máximo en el número 10 en la Billboard 200 y fue certificado oro en mayo de 1991 y 2x multi-platino en octubre de1992.[2] Este álbum también contó con la balada acústica hit single "More Than Words" (Más que palabras), que alcanzó el número 1 en Billboard Hot 100 en los Estados Unidos.

Among some of Extreme's musicalinfluences are Queen and Van Halen[2]. (Singer Gary Cherone joined Queen onstage at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992 and joined Van Halen in 1996); The band have described theirmusic as 'Funky Metal'.
They have released five studio albums, two EPs (in Japan) and two compilation albums since their formation. The band was one of the most successful rock acts of theearly 1990s, selling over 10 million albums worldwide.[3] Extreme achieved their greatest success with their 1990 album Pornograffitti, which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200, and wascertified gold in May 1991 and 2×platinum in October 1992.[4] That album featured the acoustic ballad single "More Than Words", which reached #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 in the United States.
