For people allover the world, Facebook® has become an increasing industry through the last couple of years and it will become more and more important. Nowadays Facebook® has millions of users that take advantageof it, not only as a social network, but also as a tool for promoting, selling and exchanging services or products at a very low cost.
Facebook® is a social networking service website launched inFebruary 2004 operated and privately owned by Facebook Inc.® through this website, people is allowed to create a profile and share with their friends uploaded comments, videos, photos, etc. Users mayalso share other interests in common by using groups organized by workplace, school or college. But this is not everything Facebook® can work for us.
This social network particularly, has revolvedthe way of doing marketing, allowing people and companies to promote themselves through this globalized phenomena, but most important, they can do it for free. This is a way to give yourself to knowand to attract more people for buying your product, and it works very effectively.
In April 2011, Facebook® launched a new portal for marketers and creative agencies to help them develop brandpromotions on Facebook®. This is a great strategy because in this way Facebook® started to push out as a real company by inviting a select group of advertising leader to be part of it and having influencethrough campaigns such as “True Blood”, “American Idol” and “Top Gear”. Now they have created a huge media impact through them advertising.
