For the past few years, the fast food market issue has started to interest even moreeconomists leading to the question “Is it broken or not?” The truth is that the fast food market is broken in a moral way because employees’ rights are not being respected. However, the market continues to work economically because it is a successful business that knows how to attract people.

While overall the fast food market works, it is broken in a moral way because it treats their workers verypoorly. The only thing that the corporation thinks about is maximizing their profits. As Adam Smith would say, they only follow their self-interest. This way of thinking has led to bad consequences which show that fast food market is broken.
