The SkimAir® flotation units can be used in the grinding circuit for conventional
Flash Flotation and Flash Roughing™.
In Flash Flotation, the SkimAir® unit is usedas a stand-alone cell to produce a highgrade concentrate. In Flash Roughing™, the unit operates to produce a lower-grade
concentrate at high recovery. The process can comprise two stages, whereSkimAir®
is used as the rougher and the Outokumpu TankCell® as the cleaner.
The SkimAir® unit prevents particles from overgrinding and also results in more stable
feed to the conventional flotationcircuit. It also improves the overall recovery and the
grinding mill throughput as well as plant dewatering.
