I Simple past:
° You use simple past when somebody finished actions in some moment in the past. Maybe can be recent or far time.
°Use simple past to say things youor somebody made it.
Positive statements (Form of the sentence)
Subject + Verb in simple past+ Complement.
Example: I ate pizza with my friends at the mall.
She went to high school yesterday.Negative statements (Form of the sentence)
Subject + Auxiliary Verb (did) not+ verb in base form + Complement
Example: I didn’t go to the cinema because I was sick.
She didn’t see the moviebecause she went swimming to the
pool
Questions (Form to make questions)
Auxiliary Verb (did) + Subject + Verb in base form + Complement + ?
Example: Did you see the new movie with them? Yes, Idid/ No, I didn’t
Did she arrive at 9:00 p.m. yesterday? Yes, she did/ No, she didn’t
°Simple past is a simple thing you want to say
° Only use auxiliary verb when you are talking aboutnegative statements or questions.
° When you have a positive statement you have to write the simple past form of the verb. Dependence if it is irregular or regular it is going to be the way to writeit.
II Simple present;
° You use simple present to describe routines or habitual actions in the present
°Add –s to the base form of the verb for third person singular (She, he, it)

Subject + Verb in simple present form+ Complement
Example: I need a new sweater because my old sweater is too ugly.
She likes ice cream because she loves sweet foodNegative statements (Form of the sentence)
Subject + do/does not + verb in base form + complement.
Example: I don’t like pizza. I don’t know why.
He doesn’t go to the gym. He doesn’t needit.
Questions (Form to make questions)
Do/does + Subject + Verb in base form + Complement + ?
Example: Do I need to do my homework? Yes, I do/ No I don’t
