#8. Structure of Personality: According to Freud most behavior involves activity of all three mental structures or systems: The id, the ego, and the super ego.

2. The Ego is sometimes describes as the “executive” directs energy of the id. The ego wins power to direct behavior by relating the desires of the id to external reality.3. Superego: acts as judge or censor for the thoughts an action of the ego.

Oral stage:Year 1 overfed, frustrated; result is oral dependent personality.
Gullible, passive, need attention (orally aggressive)

Anal expulsive personality: disorderly, destructive, cruel, messy.
Phallic stage: Boy competes with father, for mother Electra complex. Girl loves fathercompetes with mother.

Latency stage: 6 to puberty. At this time is hard to accept “on hold” a relative quiet time.
Genital stage: Emotion, turmoil upsurge in sexual activity.
