Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Roméo Dallaire

Shake hands with the devil, a curious name for a film, at least for me talking about the devil and so is this film tells the story of one of the ugliest things that can exist, violence and so was in 1994 Genocide in Rwanda. Genocide, which did not exist before 1944, is a very specific term that refers to the massive crimes committedagainst groups. Human rights, as stated in the Constitution of the United States of America or in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948 United Nations refer to the rights of individuals.

Roméo Dallaire recounts one of the largest massacres of the 20th century, where he revives and tells his crossing as commander of the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations in Rwanda.

He mentionsthat during his stay in Rwanda felt really shake hands with the devil. As a viewer of this film can really feel and understand how this event was something that marked the history not only for Rwanda but for the rest of the world. It is almost impossible to believe all the violence that went through this country and feel like your freedom was taken by foreigners like the French, Belgians andBritish. They were stripped of their own land, and enslaved to work for them.
Convert the inhabitants of that country in opponents is one of the worst things that can happen to a territory, especially the way some had more power over others, increased violence and the will to fight among the people of Rwanda.

The author mentions that it felt liberated to tell his story to the world in which he putthis horrible slaughter. A power struggle that grew relentlessly, especially the armies that competed and took over foreign territory. The United Nations refused to send his army to stop this violence that lived in Rwanda, especially the lack of ports and airports. No one wanted to intervene because they said they did not have any benefit in these efforts, Rwanda did not have any kind of help.Differences of race that were created in this country were large consequences benefit only foreigners to increase their colonies.

There was no support for Rwanda and the forces were going to support Yugoslavia. Leaders did not have any kind of feeling towards the people of Rwanda and not worried about the brutal consequences. Romeo Dallaire had mentioned that for a key that not all people wereequal, not all humans were equal and some were more human than others.

As an exchange student I can now say I have a broader vision of not only what happens in my country, but also here in America. This film made me realize that violence across borders and not only turns against countries, you can put against people, a community simply by greed or fight for your freedom in your own land. For meit was impressive as a nation was separated by sound issues by foreign persons only standing against the people of Rwanda for their largest armies. It is amazing how other countries did not want to help Rwanda because they would have no benefit while the slaughter was growing. There was nothing that impressed me about this film because it gave me a teaching of how greed can cause the destructionof a nation and rob the inhabitants of a country from the land of their birth.

The fuse that ignited the brutal genocide that ravaged Rwanda in 1994, was the downing of the plane he was traveling the country's president, Juvenal Havyarimana. After the attack started fighting genocidal Hutus on the Tutsis. It unleashed a horror that had been carefully prepared long before. At the time of onset ofkilling Rwandan militia consisted of 30,000 men and organized throughout the country with representatives in each neighborhood. Some militia members could buy assault rifles AK-47 by completing a form. Other weapons such as grenades required no paperwork and were distributed widely, in order to see the entire population is involved.

All this was financed, at least in part, with money taken...
