Gladiator

Summary.
Maximus, General of the Roman Legion, is loved by everyone, including the Caesar, Marcus Aurelius, who before he died he chose him as his successor ignoring his own son. Commodus knows that his father wants him for being the new emperor Maximus, and then decided to kill the Caesar. The Senate hated Commodus, because it wasn’t a good emperor.
Lucilla was Commodus’s sister; she had a soncalled Lucius.
Commodus hated Maximus then convicted him and his family to death.
Maximus becomes a gladiator, when some people found him, capture him and took him to the east. Proximo was a gladiator teacher. The Maximus became a popular gladiator. Juba met Maximus, he was his fried.
Proximo travelled to the Coliseum with gladiators in Rome because, the emperor had 175 days of games. Commodusfelt they were good gladiators, Commodus asked to meet the gladiators and saw Maximus, but the people wanted Maximus, Commodus then could do nothing, on game days he tried to kill Maximus.
Commodus had sent the best gladiator against Maximus, Maximus beat everyone. After the fight Cicero appears who was, his personal assistant in the army was. Luccilla and Senator Gracchus wanted to destroyCommodus. Commodus was suspicious of the idea, and then he commanded to kill Maximus and Gracchus. But Proximo helps Maximus to escape. Cicero was waiting outside but he was killed and the soldiers caught Maximus.
Commodus wanted to fight at the Coliseum with Maximus but he knew that Maximus was better in battle, and then was hurt in his back before the battle. Maximus won that fight. He killedCommodus. After, Maximus dies from his wound. He got free the gladiators of the Coliseum and He got back Rome to the Senate.

Chapter N°1: “Farmer and soldier”.
The Roman Empire stretched from of Africa to the of England. In the winter of A.D 180, Emperor Marcus Aurelius’s twelve years war against of Germania. There was one last battle to win.
In the Roman army, Maximus was the Commanding Generalof the Army of the North, and Quintus, his second in command. They were waiting the signal to begin the battle. Maximus sent a horseman for the other army said “yes or no”. Suddenly, he came and his head has been cut off. It met “no” accepted the agreement.
Meanwhile, The Emperor’s son and daughter in the several carriages traveled towards. Commodus, the emperor’s son thinking that his father wasdying and that, Marcus will name him as Emperor.
From another hill. The soldiers were ready to fight. Then Maximus gave the command and hundreds soldiers followed. They were well-trained and had the best equipments to comparison of Germany. Then the battle had ended and Rome was the winner. But Maximus he only thought to return to home.
Chapter N° 2: “The last battle”.
While the emperor Marcus,watched as the battle progressed. Maximus saw him and they walked together and too spoke about Rome and its emperor. Because Marcus knew he was dying and soon he could be named the next emperor.
Suddenly, Commodus appeared and he saw them, he was jealous. He tried to please his father but Marcus ignored him. So he was more jealous.
Too later, in the biggest tent many officers were celebrating.There Commodus spoke about his next empire with Maximus, but he just wanted to go home.
In the morning, Maximus walked to Marcus’s tent. The emperor was expecting him.
Chapter N°3: “One more duty”.
Marcus and Maximus talked about the glory of the Empire. Marcus had one more duty to ask of Maximus before the go home. Mad Marcus said – “What would you like me to do, Caesar” and Maximus said thatall him heard, no. But also said that needed some time.
He left the Emperor’s tent and then saw Lucilla and she will want to know that her father had told with him. But he didn’t tell anything and he walked back to his tent. In there he imagined and he spoke with his family and Cicero, his servant about his duty.
