Global warming

While some say that global warming is a theory, others would say it is a confirmed set of facts. Let´s consider global warming to be both an idea that the environment in the worldis slowly increasing in air and water temperature, and a promise that if all the things that are causing this are not interrupted or challenged life on earth is going to be affected.Global warming is the increase in the temperature of the Earth because of the use of fossil fuels and other industrial processes. All this causes an accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and thegreenhouse effect is when the temperature rises because the sun’s heat and light is trapped in the earth’s atmosphere.

Some of the principal causes of the global contamination are that carbon dioxide andsome other greenhouse gases around the planet causes some initial warming that melts some ice. Also open ocean water absorbs about 80 percent more solar radiation than sea ice does which causes thatthe poles start to melt and by the year 2010 the sea level will rise at least 25 meters, changing all of the actual geography of the world.

The drastic increase in the emission of CO2 (carbondioxide) within the last 30 years caused by burning fossil fuels has been identified as the major reason for the change of temperature in the atmosphere. Changes in temperature and precipitation patternsincrease the frequency, duration, and intensity of other extreme weather events, such as floods, droughts, heat waves, and tornadoes.

A proof that some countries are starting to see that globalwarming is a reality is the example of Greenland, who is starting to become a greener country because some of the huge ice sheets are disappearing, leaving more land ready for work. Greenlanders havealready begun to work cultivating broccoli and some other vegetables in order to stop contaminating.

Some of the biggest and most disastrous consequences that have been caused by global warming...
