Introduction:

This information is usually stored in data structurescalled files. The typical unit of storage are magnetic disks or hard drives, floppy disks or diskettes and compact discs (CD-ROM).
Information Processing: The capacity of the Information System toperform calculations in accordance with a sequence of preset operations. These calculations can be made with data recently introduced in the system or data that are stored. This feature allows systemstransform source data into information that can be utilized for decision making, which makes it possible, among other things, that a decision maker to generate a financial projection based on datathat contains a state performance or a balance sheet based year.
