Hurricane preparation

1.-if there is a hurricane Learn about emergency plans in your community, warning signals, evacuation routes and emergency settings2.-Identify potential home hazards and know how to secure or protect your home before the hurricane arrives. Be prepared to turn off electrical power when there is standing water,downed power lines, or before you evacuate. Close the gas supply sources and water before evacuating. Secure building materials that may affect structural stability.3.-Locate and secure a place important documents like insurance policies, wills, licenses, stocks, etc.

4.-Enter the emergency phone numbers near every phone.

5.-Informlocal authorities about any special needs, such as elderly or bedridden, or disabled persons

Necessary emergency supplies

1.-Several clean containers for water,large enough to store water for 3 to 5 days (about five gallons per person).

2.-A supply of nonperishable food for 3 to 5 days.
3.-A kit and first aid manual.
4.-A radiobatteries, flashlights and extra batteries.
5.-Sleeping bags or extra blankets.
6.-Water purifiers, such as chlorine or iodine tablets or chlorine bleach normalhousehold, not perfume.
6.-Prescription medicines and special medical needs.
7.-Baby food and / or prepared formula, diapers and other baby supplies.
8.-Disposable cleaningcloths, such as baby wipes (baby wipes) for the whole family can use if you do not have facilities for bathing or showering.
9.-Personal hygiene supplies such as soap,toothpaste, sanitary napkins, etc..
10.-An emergency kit for your car with food, flares, booster cables, maps, tools, a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, sleeping bags, etc.
