Effects of human activity on the beavers

Humans are predators of the beavers and destroy their dams to get rid of them mostly because they go intopeople’s cause floods when they do their lodges and are considered as pests or invasive species. They are also shot for their fur. They shoot at them or put traps in their way. Beavers are considered aserious invasive species, due to their massive destruction of forest trees, and efforts are being made for their eradication.
Both beaver testicles and castoreum, a bitter-tasting secretion with aslightly fetid odor contained in the castor sacs of male or female beaver, have been articles of trade for use in traditional medicine.
European beavers (Castor fiber) were eventually hunted nearly toextinction in part for the production of castoreum, which was used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic.
Much of the early exploration and trade of Canada was based on the quest forbeaver.  The most valuable part of the beaver is its inner fur whose many minute barbs make it excellent for felting, especially for hats.
