The possibility of knowledge is related to the questions:
* Is the human being can know?
* How valuable is human knowledge?
For thesequestions, several scientific currents have tried to give a solution
Possibility of Knowledge:
* Dogmatism: Affirms the possibility of knowledge. No discussion is allowed.
* Skepticism: No onecan know, as opposed to dogmatism. Pyrrho of Elis
* Subjectivism: The truth is in the subject. Protagoras.
* Relativism: The truth is limited. Oswald Spengler.
* Pragmatism: Identity ofknowledge for practical purposes. William James.
* Criticism: You agree that you may know, but always alert questioning the truth. Kant.

*Rationalism: The bottom line is the reason. Descartes.
Rationalism states that the foundation of human knowledge is the reason. For there to be a true knowledge must have the character of universality andnecessity. One of the modern representatives of this doctrine is René Descartes.
* Empiricism: All knowledge is born of experience: Bacon, Locke and Hume.
Empiricism is a theory of knowledge thatasserts that knowledge comes only or primarily from sensory experience
* Intellectualism: Interrelation of experience and thought.
Intellectualism denotes the use, development, and exercise ofthe intellect; the practice of being an intellectual; and the Life of the Mind. In the field of philosophy, “intellectualism” occasionally is synonymous with “rationalism”, that is, knowledge mostlyderived from reason and ratiocination
* Apriorism: It has its source in the senses. Kant
