The book starts when a small girl called Sophie is lying awake in her bed in an orphanage. She is about seven years old. That night, she saw through her window a giant with a black cloak wanderingaround on the streets. At first, she wants to hide from the giant but now that the giant saw her she couldn’t do anything about it. The giant is known as the BFG, the Big Friendly Giant, he takes Sophieout go her room and takes her to a cave were he lives. At the beginning when she saw the giant she was afraid because she thought that he was like all the giants; bad and that he was going to eather, but with the time she finds out that he is not that kind of giant. The BFG eats vegetables called snozzcumbers that have a disgusting taste like frogskins, but there is this drink called frobscottlethat is the only drink in Giant Country and it tastes very good. What the Big Friendly Giant does for a living and for fun is catching people’s dreams and blowing the happy ones to the children atnight. He catches and bottle in jars the dreams and keeps them on shelves in his cave. The best kind of dream from the BFG is called a golden phizzwizard and the nightmares are called the trogglehumper.There were other nine giants in the Giant Country but they weren’t as the BFG, they were man eating giants that go to people’s homes at night all around the world to take them and eat them. They goto all the countries except Greece because they don’t like the taste of human beings there, they say they taste greasy. The giants were called the Fleshlumpeater, MaidMasher, Childchewer,Gizzardgulper, Bloodbottler, MeatDripper, The Butcher Boy, Bonecruncher and Manhugger. This giants enjoy whizzpopping that is like farting, they consider burping very rude. The first giant Sophie meets is theBloodbottler when he entered the BFG’s cave to see who he was talking too, he accused him of hiding a person in his cave.
Sophie comes up with the idea of stopping the giants from eating people but...
