1. How many disk units have you got in your computer? Identifyeach letter with the unit.




2. What is the total space and the free space in each hard disk partition?




3. Create in your personal folder the followingtree of directories.











4. Put the CD-ROM that you will find in your book in the DVD-ROM. Now we are going to work with the CD-ROM.
- Howmany folders and files are there in the root directory?
- How many folders are there in the whole CD-ROM?
- How many files are there in the folder “05 soundsand video”?
- Look for video files in the Cd- Rom
i. What are the file extensions?
ii. What are the file capacities?
iii.Copy in your personal folder all the video files with a capacity bigger than 100KB. How many are there?
iv. Copy in your personal folder all sound files. Howmany are there?

5. Look for text documents in the CD and copy three of them into the text folder.



6. About the previous files, copy the oldest file into the Afolder, copy the highest capacity file into the B folder and the most recent file into the C folder.


7. Move all video files into the FILM folder and all sound filesinto the SOUND folder.

8. Rename the A, B and C folders with the names of the files saved in them (without the extension).


9. Compress your personal folder andrename it with your name. Compare the capacity of the compressed file and the folder without compression.
