Accenture provides $500 in scholarships each year in the name of five faculty members ($100 per faculty member).  One of those is selected as the overall “winner” and that person’s name goes on aplaque in the trophy case.  This year, the overall “winner” was Ken Manning, Professor of Marketing and FirstBank Research Fellow. Below  is complete the list of this year’s winners.  The awards are onthe basis of commitment to students -- their education and their careers.  So these are people who work with students outside the classroom as well as doing a good job teaching. 
Finance – Sue Hine,Instructor
In her nearly two decades of teaching in the Department of Finance and Real Estate, Sue Hine has always been dedicated to student learning. She spends many hours in course preparation,grading, and helping students outside of class. She participates in student events and provides career counseling. Finance students consistently rank her as one of the best teachers they have ever had andher average student evaluation scores consistently exceed 4.5 on a 5 point scale. Many finance majors have named her as their most influential faculty member on the Senior Exit Survey. 
CIS – DanTurk, Associate Professor
Dan Turk has the ability to make a very technical subject fun and memorable.  This ability has served us well with his contact with high school students and our undergraduateCIS majors. In addition, he has demonstrated a passion for the international dimension and has been instrumental in setting up research and teaching relationships in India, and is serving on thecommittee that is considering the expansion of GSSE activities.  Overall, he adds a great deal to the programs and atmosphere in the Department and the College.
