Introducción
La ingeniería del conocimiento es una rama de la Inteligencia Artificial, siendo una de las disciplinas emergentes que nació en la era del conocimiento. Este tipo de sistemas comenzó a desarrollar en la década de los setenta con los sistemas basados ​​en el conocimiento y los sistemas expertos. La Ingeniería del Conocimiento tradicionalmente ha relacionado con los sistemas desoftware donde el conocimiento y el razonamiento juegan un papel muy importante. Sin embargo recientemente la Ingeniería del Conocimiento se ha ampliado para ser utilizado en la Gestión del Conocimiento, el modelado de las empresas y los procesos de reingeniería de la empresa. La ingeniería divide el conocimiento en dos tipos: Fuente estática del conocimiento, estamos hablando de todo eseconocimiento que es tangible y una fuente dinámica de conocimiento, este tipo de conocimiento tiene características de variabilidad, canjeable, basado en la experiencia, la representación del conocimiento consiste en tomar el conocimiento explícito y tácito adquirido para llevarlo a una forma comprensible para las personas que van a utilizarlo, por comprensible que suponemos que este conocimiento seestructura y formaliza el fin de que el sistema que se va a procesarlo lo hace bajo el mismo modelo que el experto del dominio lo haría. En la manipulación y validación del conocimiento la más importante de este proceso es el conocimiento que se adquiere de la experta, la diversidad de fuentes y de la representación de éste, sea igual a la realidad. Con esto se quiere decir que todo el trabajo que sedebe ir a hacer que el sistema debe ser igual a quien haría un experto.

The engineering of the knowledge is a branch of the Artificial Intelligence, being one of the emergent disciplines that it was born in the age of the knowledge. This type of systems started developing in the decade of the seventies with the systems basedon knowledge and expert systems. The Engineering of the Knowledge traditionally has related to systems of software where the knowledge and reasoning play a very important paper. Nevertheless recently the Engineering of the Knowledge has been extended to be used in the Management of the Knowledge, the modeling of companies and the processes of reengineering of the business. The engineering dividesthe knowledge in two types: static Source of knowledge, we are speaking about all that knowledge that is tangible and a dynamic source of knowledge, this type of knowledge has characteristics of variability, changeably, based on the experience, the representation of the knowledge consists of taking the explicit and tacit knowledge acquired to take it to an understandable form for the persons whoare going to use it, for understandable we assume that this knowledge is structured and formalizes in order that the system that is going to process it does it under the same model that the expert of the domain would do it. In the manipulation and validation of the knowledge the most important of this process is the knowledge that was acquired of the expert, the diverse sources and of therepresentation of this one, be equal to the reality. With this it wants to be said that all the work that should go to do the system should be equal whom it would make an expert.
