SPEAKING ACTIVITY GUIDE
Objective:
• To express ideas and real life situations accurately and efficiently by applying the contents seen in the course.
Specific objectives:
• Takepart on an interview
• Pronounce correctly the words used.
• Use proper grammar and vocabulary learned in the course
• Listen and respond accordingly to instructions and questions
REMEMBER: Youhave to present only one interview and the topic of the interview will be according to the date you choose:
Topics:
1. Talk about a hypothetical situation in the present. March 4th – Mar 30th
2.Talk about activities you used to do when you were a child. April 1st – April 20th
3. Talk about an anecdote that just happened to a friend. April 21st – May 14th
Learning strategy: Interview basedlearning in which the student will be assessed based on the contents learnt on the INVIL-UNAD English course.
Score: 60 points
Expected outcome: An interview with your tutor by skype. The studentshould
interact with his/her tutor in the same way he/she would do in the real life.
INSTRUCTIONS
• Have the necessary virtual tools to carry out the interview.
• Choose a time frame, from theschedule established by your tutor to carry out
the interview. A Google drive shared document will be provided by your tutor.
• Register on the schedule your ID number, full name, group number, email andSkype username.
• Login to the virtual tool at least 10 minutes before the interview.
• Remember to have from 10 to 15 minutes and guarantee the proper
functioning of the headset, microphone andcamera to carry out the
interview.
Sections
The interview comprises two sections:
• Personal presentation
• A conversation about the topic established for the time the interview takes
place.First Section: Personal presentation speaking about yourself.
When introducing yourself please mention:
•Greetings, name, age, profession/job, address, marital status, origin, phone number and...
