THE LIVER
What is the liver shaped like?
The liver is shaped like a triangle.
The liver is a triangular organ or the liver is triangular in shape.
The liver ismade up of glycogen, a molecule can pass through capillary walls. In the other words, capillaries are permeable. Bacteria cannot pass through the liver, because the liver is impermeable.UNIT 3.
“ LOCATION”

The liver is the body`s largest and heaviest organ, it is located to the right of the stomach.The liver is located below the rib cage, immediately in front of gallbladder, isabove of the ascending colon. The liver is behind to the muscles.

UNIT 4.
“STRUCTURE”

The liver is divided into four structural parts: right lobe, left lobe, quadrate lobe andcaudate lobe. The right is larger than the left, separated by the falciform ligament.
Right lobe: is located  to the right of the falciform ligament.
Left lobe: extended on the stomach and to theleft of the falciform ligament.
Quadrate lobe: visible only on the underside of the liver is not limitedby the umbilical groove to the left, the gallbladder bed to the rightand behind theliver hilum.
Caudate lobe: located between the rear edge of theliver hilum in front, behind the vena cava.
The liver  is composed of  hepatocytes, that are rich in enzymes, cells that perform many bodilyfunctions. The liver is made up of three vessels : portal vein, hepatic artery and bile duct.
It is almost completely covered by peritoneum and completely covered by a layer of dense connectivetissue that lies below the peritoneal.

The liver  lobes are attached to connective tissue. The liver is only supported  by portal vein and cava.
The liver is filled of tubes (biliary tubing) thatdeliver the bile to the common bile duct.The liver is surrounded by a fibrous capsule is known as capsule of Glisson.

The quadrate lobe is separated from the caudate lobe by the fissure Bladder....
