In my mind .I think that a movement like the hippies can't totally appear in our society today, for various reasons. The hippies are supporters of a movement from the sixties. Theyfought for a cause; the vietnam war,they was for the guarantee of peace ,hence the famous slogan; «peace and love».
However, this time is over.
Society has evolved. The peace can beclaimed by other things. For instance, peace can be guaranteed by some laws. Nowadays, Morality and people change to adapt to modern society and to its evolution. Indeed, people are more andmore individualistic. They are selfish, more and more narrow-minded which have for consequence the individualism. because they put their own interests and their own needs first ,instead ofsupport the common interest.
On top of that, we're in a society which tends to stay in a relation more conflictual than peaceful. Because today there is more tension. People don't thinkabout "peace and love"
Although the hippie movement, tends to disappear, I still think there are other movements that might be closer to this one. Take for example the «Baba cool». Theyhave a way of life more or less similar compared to hippies. Because they are also in the context of drugs and a clothing relaxed,fairly well different of the normal.
What about the useof drugs?
Nowadays, drugs use is more related to cultural movements. People consume drugs without being necessarily hippies.
To sum up i will say one hand that it can't exist exactly amovment like the hippie but it can exist other movment with just some values of the hippies, but in other hand some factors, like the individualism tend to curb an appearance real and totalof a movment like this




What about the use of drugs?
