Insects are the most diverse group of animals on the planet that are classified within the group of anthropods. Insects can be found almost everywhere around the globe and they are mostly eady tospot due to certain characteristics. Insects have chitinous exoskeleton with three main body parts which are the following: Head, Throax and abdomen. Insects also have three pairs of jointed legs,compound eyes and two antennae. Insects typically move from place to place by either walking or flying but some of the insects can also move around by swimming. Insects reproduce sexually and the lifecycle of insects mostly vary between them. Most hatch from an egg and then after they hatch they must undergo either a complete metamorphisis stage or an incomplete metamorphisis stage. Insects reproduce sexually so there must be some kind of intercourse between a male and female insect. Which both have a different type ofreproductive system, lets start with the femal first. The femal reproductive system is composed of ovaries ,which are made of egg tubes called ovarioles,Accessory glands which produce substances for spermmaintenance and protection of eggs, and spermathecae which are sacs in which sperm is tored between the time of mating and egg fertalizing.
While the male’s reproductive system is made of testis which issuspended by a trachea and the fat body. The testis contain sperm tubes or follicles which are tubes that lead to the outside . The place where insect store their sperm is called seminal vesicleswhich have glandular linings that have nutrients for nourishment and maintanence of the sperm. Their ejaculatory duct is derived from an invagination of epidermal cell during the development.
