Resumen

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo describir el estilode liderazgo de un grupo de oficiales que ejercen mando a nivel táctico en una Brigada de Operaciones Especiales del Ejército de Chile. Para dar cuenta de lo anterior, se ha tomado como base la teoría del Liderazgo Transformacional desarrollada por Bass (1985) la que se ha relacionado con el estilo de liderazgo militar que se estima necesario ejercer en este tipo de unidades, donde el personal quela integra está sometido a altos estándares de exigencia en lo físico, psicológico, táctico y técnico. Para completar la investigación se aplicó el cuestionario CELID (Cuestionario de Estilo de Liderazgo) construido para el estudio de cadetes argentinos. Los resultados indican que el estilo de liderazgo predominante es el transformacional, teniendo una mayor valoración las dimensiones de carismay estimulación intelectual que resulta coherente con una mirada sistémica y constructivista, ya que el liderazgo que ejercen estos oficiales se basa en el establecimiento de relaciones de confianza con sus subordinados y el empoderamiento a que resuelvan creativamente en situaciones de crisis. Es en este sentido imperativo tener conocimientos técnicos, tácticos y las cualidades personales parainspirar a sus subalternos a trascender los valores patrios por sobre los valores personales.

ANALYSIS OF THE MILITARY LEADERSHIP AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LEADERSHIP TRANSFORMATIONAL IN THE TACTICAL LEVEL OF CONDUCTION OF A BRIGADE OF SPECIAL OPERATION OF THE ARMY DE CHILI

AbstractThe present study has as objective to describe the style of leadership of a group of officials that exercise control at tactical level in a Brigade of Special Operations of the Army of Chile. To give the above-mentioned bill, has been taken as base the theory of the Leadership Transformational developed by Bass (1985) the one that has been related with the style of military leadership that isconsidered necessary to exercise in this type of units, where the personnel that integrates it is subjected to high demand standards in the physical, psychological, tactical and technician. To complete the investigation the questionnaire CELID it was applied (Questionnaire of Style of Leadership) built for the study of Argentinean cadets. The results indicate that the style of predominantleadership is the transformational, having a bigger valuation the dimensions of charisma and intellectual stimulation that it is coherent with a systemic look and constructivist since the leadership that these officials exercise bases it on the establishment of relationships of trust with their subordinates and the empowerment so that they can solve creatively in crisis situations.
