does
culture
affect
the
role
of
pay as
a
motivating
force
for
workers?
Would
this
issue
be
raised
differently
in
the
United
States?
In
Asian
and
African countries
people
are
used
to
lower
costs
of
living
as
well
as
being
paid
more
poorly
than
in
other
western
countries. They
live
with
low
salaries
and
are
used
to
a
heavy
load
of
work.
However,
in
The
United
States
the
cost
of living
is
higher
and
people
are
culturally
used
to
having
money
as
their
prime
motivator
when
it
comes
to
working. In
contradiction
with
Asian
culture
witch
extols
work
as
a
reason
to
be
proud
of,
so
the
money
doesn’t
influence
as
heavily
in
the
motivation
of
the
employee.
