The purpose of this research is to identify the management dilemmas we are facing in Greenpeace organization, also to find the research questions, hypotheses, variables, ethical considerations and how to find a solution to the issue that in this case is global warming, also to alert the people of the current situation we are facing.
Organization: Greenpeace
Greenpeace is an environmentalist andinternational peace organization. Formed to protect the environment, serve as activists against world policies on the habitat and preach for peace in the world.
The objective of the environmental NGO (non-governmental organization) is to protect and defend the environment, taking part in different parts of the world where terrorist attacks are committed against nature. Greenpeace has beencampaigning to stop climate change, protect biodiversity, reject transgenics, reduce pollution and stop the use of nuclear energy and weapons.
Issue: Global warming
One of the major issues that we are facing in this organization and people do not realize is Global warming, our planet is changing drastically and our world is getting hotter than it was two thousand years ago, if everything keepgoing the same way, by the end of the century the global temperature could climb so high that the climate and weather patterns would be radically different.
Global warming in the last decade has received more attention by the media than in previous decades. The sea levels are rising, the polar caps depleting and melting away, the earth warming up to the core. Green Peace, a non-profit organizationthat finds its origins in Canada, has been around for over three decades fighting the good fight for the earth and all its habitants. As the issue of Global Warming gained center stage in the science realm, many have argued over the data and research findings by many scientists. The reality is that the human race has stretched the earth’s offerings of fossil fuels. The human population increasesdrastically every year, and the life expectancy of the earth’s fuels and energy sources are decreasing. How can the rise in temperature and the escalating warming of the earth be measured to prove the absence of human influence on global warming?
Other hypotheses have been proposed in the scientific field:
The increase in current temperature is predictable from the theory of orbital variations, according to which, gradual changes in Earth's orbit around the Sun and changes in the Earth's axial tilt affect the amount of solar energy reaching to Earth.
The heating is within the limits of natural variation and needs no further explanation particular.
Warming is a consequence of output process of a cold period before the Little Ice Age and requires no further explanation.
Sometimesattributed the increase in bias, measures in reading thermometers weather Stations "immersed" in the heat islands that have formed the buildings in cities.
Some skeptics argue that the warming trend is within the range of what is possible to observe difficulty in generating an average global temperature over the entire globe due to the absence of weather stations, especially in the ocean, sensitivityof the instruments to change of a few tens of degrees Celsius, and therefore requires no explanation through the greenhouse.
The relationship between man and natural environment is, first of all, a unitary relationship, which involves a reciprocal interaction between the two entities, isolated from their dialectic meaningless. There is no independent natural environment of man, nature alwayssuffer its transforming action and in turn affects and determines a dialectical process of actions and interactions.
Since its inception, the human species has changed the environment to achieve the satisfaction of their needs. Due to gradual socioeconomic development of human civilizations, to agriculture, livestock, control and use of fire in the beginning of Industrial Revolution, the...
