It’s been more than once in this week when my fellow classmates demand our Calculus teacher an explanation for torturing us with formulas and segments. It’s really hard to comprehend how we’re going to apply thatknowledge to our everyday life. Meanwhile, literature and history always seem like interesting subjects. Nevertheless knowledge is transmitted to us through any subject and with that powerful tool we can live with all the commodities we have now.
Giving more importance to a subject is completely illogical to me. Knowledge shouldn’t be positioned according to importance. Why would we classify what isprimordial? What could we possibly say or do to back up our opinions? It is quite similar to dictating who is to learn and who is to stay at home and work. Knowledge is knowledge; those who acquire it can then decide if they want to go further into details.
While people say literature and history have a lot to offer, so does mathematics and science. Perhaps history helps us understand ourancestors and prevent a mistake from occurring again, but math can help us analyze the problem in certain of steps to get a more accurate answer. Due to the complicated series of methods that math can be resolved in it helps stimulate the brain and science can help us understand our surroundings better. Also, all the great philosophers known today were famous mathematicians and biologists. Learningthat must have meant they were doing something right.
Basically if we didn’t give that much consideration to math and science as that given to history and literature our lives would be so 16 century. It is precisely thanks to these two branches of knowledge that we can go around in our iphones and blackberries. Math is essential to life for improving new technologies. Science is also vital due tothe fact that it enables us to not only understand ourselves a lot better but also the environmental surrounding that we will in. Without these two man would have never reached the moon.
To conclude, we should never classify subjects due to importance. If they are included in the school syllabus is because they certainly have a lot to offer. Even though literature and history can be veryimportant while figuring about our past, Science and Mathematics have somehow a much more established degree in our area of knowledge. Thanks to them we are able to make so many scientific discoveries every once in a while. So, contrary to common belief that literature and history are more important than math and science, they are incorrect.

Music and art have been present throughout history having its come through by progressing through the ages and appealing our senses. Who doesn’t have a particular taste in art and music? It is scientifically proven that early musical training can help develop brain activity related language and reasoning. Recent studies have clearly indicated that musical training physically develops the part of the left side of the brain known to beinvolved with processing language.
