MOBY DICK

SUMMARY

A marin named Ismael arrives at New Bedford, searching for a boat to go after a hunt of whales. Un marinero llamado Ismael llega New Bedford, en busca de un barco para ir tras la caza de ballenas. When he arrived the boat had already gone and had to wait until find another boat. Cuando llegó ya el barco había zarpadoy tenía que esperar hasta encontrar otro barco. There he decides to stay in a boarding house where he meets a harpooner named Queequeg, who decides to keep as a trip partner.Allí decide quedarse en una posada donde conoce a un arponero llamado Queequeg, a quien toma por compañero para el viaje.

They depart in a boat named "Pequod", whose captain is Ahab, a man who has traveled the sea, duringmany years, hunting whales. Ellos salen en un barco llamado “Pequod”, cuyo capitán es Ahab, un hombre que ha recorrido los mares, durante muchos años, cazando ballenas. In one occasion, he had found a white, monstrous whale in the pacific, that had destroyed his boat and had teared out a leg; leaving him mutilated, with a wooden leg and hateful, to vengeance the whale, whose named "Moby Dick".En una ocasión, en el pacifico había encontrado una ballena blanca, monstruosa, que destrozó su barco y le arranco una pierna; dejándolo mutilado, con una pierna de palo y lleno de odio, para vengarse de la ballena, a quien llaman “Moby Dick”. The Captain Ahab nailed a golden coin for whoever saw the white whale would win the gold. Soon they would arrive near Japan, where they believed should be Moby Dick. Pronto llegaron cerca de Japón, donde entendían que debía estar Moby Dick. There they foundanother boat named Raquel, and its owner, Captain Ahab asked this captain if he had seen the white whale and he answered yes, but at the same time he asked for help to find his lost son on another boat.Allí se encontraron con otro barco llamado Raquel, y su dueño, le pidió al Capitán Ahab le pregunta al capitán de ese barco si había visto a la ballena blanca y él le dijo que sí, pero al mismo tiempo lepedía ayuda para encontrar a su hijo perdido en otro barco. Captain Ahab, denied his help. El capitán Ahab, se negó ayudarlo. His only thought was to capture Moby Dick. Su único pensamiento era capturar a Moby Dick.

In a calm morning, they saw at a far distance the whale Moby Dick, then began the hunt for the white whale. En una mañana tranquila, vieron a lo lejos el resoplar de Moby Dick,y comenzó la caza de la ballena blanca. They tried many times to capture it, until the third occasion, the whale hits the boat, in the struggle to capture the whale the line had tied around the captain Ahab's neck and in a pull of the whale it took the captain, and dies. Intentaron varias veces capturarla, hasta que en la tercera ocasión, la ballena golpeó el barco, en la lucha por capturar laballena se enredó la línea por el cuello del capitán Ahab y en un alón de la ballena se lo llevó enredado, muriendo el capitán Ahab. The boat shrunk. El barco se viró. This is how the story ended. Así terminó la historia.

At the end the boat Raquel passed by the place and found Ismael, the only survivor of this adventure. Al final el barco Raquel pasaba por el lugar y encontró a Ismael, el...
