INTERVENTION OF A CASE STUDY

1. INTRODUCTION



This present project has been carried out with aim of deepening in the educational psychology field, specifically in intervention.
By the analysis of a real case of a 14 years old teenwith a TDAH disorder, we pretend to be introduced in this area, having in count all the possible variables that have certain relevance in our case.
Firstly, proceeding with a properly contextualization, this project it’s going to start with an explanation of the case, stating all the different kind of variables that are involved, like it could be the family structuration or biologicalcomplications.
Secondly, we’ll have to elaborate an intervention accordingly with the information obtained of the analysis of the case.
And finally, we will value our intervention in self- criticism, declaring any kind of special circumstance.













































2. CASE DESCRIPTION


Our costumer is a teenager of 14years old, he actually is taking the third course of ESO program in a high school of Manresa, Catalonia. He has been diagnosticated with a TDAH disorder, the combined one, with a lack of attention and hyperactivity. He has been diagnosticated a few years ago, but the problematic it’s happening presently with his academic results, his marks has decreased lately significantly.
Hismother declares that it could be caused of lack of motivation, both parents have tried to put away any kind of distraction like computer videogames or watching TV, in order to persuade him to put more effort in improve his marks, but that different attempts didn’t succeed at all.
Additionally, his mother told us that he is not “like a dumb”, she said “he’s smarter than he pretend to show; sometimesI think that he only want to cheat me”.
The problematic, it’s not only in his marks, recently it has been reported that in class he shows many times an inadequate behavior, in an appointment of his mother with his tutor, she told to his mother that the bad behavior of his son, it’s going to put him in troubles, the teacher declared that she tried to punish him, but the severalattempts didn’t succeed at all, that only increase the problematic of the boy.
It’s important to point out that he has just passed to the next course, and all the problems start with this change, there’s too many students in class, what make difficult to assess all the students, especially who that ha problems

Mother complains about continuously cheating with everything, like it wasa self-defense mechanism. She told us also: “Sometimes it doesn’t make sense that continuous cheating, he lies notwithstanding that we both (She and the boy) are conscious about the truth. We have to point out that this kind of behavior it seems typical, but it’s getting worse, he has and even bad behavior than before.


Attending to the family structure, it’s composed of 4members, one brother and parents, it seems to be a good environment in the family, but looking out, anyone can notice that the “problem” of the boy has a certain effect on the relations between the members of the family. Additionally, there’s no more familiar relations, as she relate: “we are not very in touch with my family , a result that the family express that they are not very in touch whetherwith husband or herself family.

We don’t have to elude the biological history, which in this case has certain relevance, we don’t have any kind of data from the father, and nonetheless we have data from the mother. His mother told us about that in her childhood she had several problems putting attention in class and being quiet, she describes herself as an active woman, that couldn’t...
