What will be your Initial approach to the negotiation with Alven Feng?
Erika has to search for all the information about the other company, the manager of the Asian company, themarket in that country, economy, legal requirements and every external factor that can affect her company, she needs to start making a deep research of each aspect that facilitates the business betweenthe companies, she had to take in account the culture and the laws of Asia, the way to make business in all de world is not the same, so she had to make a research with the purpose of make a goodnegotiation that can beneficiated both companies.
Most likely option:
The letter A I think is he best option.
Why?
Because in that option, I think was better for Erika’s company, some cases likethis when a company is using the name of the product of other company in other country illegally of course will have to be penalty, but if the illegal company is doing very well in profit in the othercountry for the legal company will be better try like a “joint venture” to expand their market to Asia (in this case) but to make that is important first: charge a penalty for the time used of theproduct name without permission, then try to do a negotiation for the joint venture that I think will be the best option for the company or just that the Asian company pay for the use o f the productname make it legal.
But I think for the company will be better the joint venture strategy because the company can expand to the international market, with a company that know the Asian market so willbe easer for the company DGG enter to that market.
But to make this possible, they have to make a good business with Asian company, to star to do it DGG have to make a research of the economy of thecountry, the culture, the law and other external factors that influence in negotiations.
