The marijuana
Introduction
Marijuana, or cannabis sativa, is a harmless drug that affects the system and decreases perilimbal initiative generating physical and psychological problems for people, along with habit-forming.
Psychological Marijuana has great effects on the body especially psychological as it affects the central nervous system, producing anxiety and panic. This happensbecause your first point of action is the brain. Marijuana receptors are concentrated especially in the hippocampus, which affects the higher functions of feeling, memory and action.
By acting on these higher brain systems, marijuana produces some of its medicinal benefits, acting on the perception of pain, humor, hunger and muscle control, however in the typical medical view, marijuana use is bydefinition "abuse." Drugs are taken for therapeutic purposes, to alleviate pain, to aid adjustment, to cure a disease, and must be prescribed by a physician.
Thanks to these marijuana effects become very important for pharmaseutics, doing research and can use its assets for the sick. some of the benefits that could bring are Alzheimer's abatement, neuranal drugs more precise and effective, analgesics, and the list goes on.
But marijuana is not only subject of scientific research but also of national agenda for many countries, such as the United States of North America, which has been debated, discussed and will continue discussing the uses and the consequences that this plant has not only the individual or social haspecto Stand also be global. in spite of the wide variety of drugs thatare currently the gateway to these are still the "soft drugs" cone of marijuana.
Justification
Know the usefulness of marijuana not only as a drug or social problem, but also its other uses, such as medicine, taking into account that all knowledge can serve humanity.
"The problem of man is not in the atomic bomb, but in his heart."
Also the problem is not marijuana.
DevelopmentMarijuana with so many substances it has been subjected to various studios and experiments, particularly to exploit its effects No brains. So gunos were made to show that it can help memory, was discovered 15 years ago a new CB2 Cannabia that reduces the effects of nausea and facilitates the production of new neurons by activating specific receptors for cannabinoids.
Cannabinoid receptors havebeen found in the brain, nervous system, spleen, thymus, and various circulating immune cells.
Molecular analysis showed that the receptor was present in the neurons of the brainstem. Other techniques allow researchers to see the consequences of receptor activation, demonstrating that it works.
Drugs that originate outside the body, such as smoked marijuana cannabinoids, "may not act onthese receptors," said Sharkey, professor of physiology and biophysics at the University of Calgary in Canada.
"Our work shows that it is endogenous cannabinoids-own body with chemicals that can be targeted to these receptors." said Sharkey.
Use of cannabinoids as a basis for therapeutic drugs is not a new idea.
But Sharkey says that the recent findings demonstrate that cannabinoid drugs canbe developed to target a specific region of the brain without unwanted side effects.
What does this mean for future cannabis-based drug development?
"I have every reason to imagine—and some insights—that the global pharmaceutical industry is busy working on these types of molecules to make potential therapeutics," he said.
"Our data would be supportive of these approaches for thetreatment of any disorders that involve cannabinoid actions in the brain, and elsewhere too."
A study published online today by the Journal of Clinical Investigation reports that a synthetic cannabinoid (tetrahydrocannibinol, or THC) promotes the growth of new neurons in a region of the brain called the hippocampus, which is associated with memory.
In rats the effect of cannabinoid is dramatic:...
