Contraceptive method is one that prevents or reduces the chances of fertilization or pregnancy during sexual intercourse. Contraceptive methods were instrumental in making decisions about birth control (number of children they want to or not have), pregnancy prevention and in reducingthe number of unwanted pregnancies and teenage pregnancies.
Birth control or contraceptives methods is one that prevent or significantly reduces the chances or fertilization or pregnancy during sexual intercourse. Contraceptive methods were instrumental in making decisions about birth control (number of children they want to or not have), pregnancy prevention and in reducing the number ofunwanted pregnancies and pregnancies adolescents. The methods to be administered after intercourse are called emergency contraception.
The spread of family planning and sexual education promote the optimal use of contraceptive methods.
The oral contraceptive pill, the contraceptive injection, the vaginal contraceptive ring, the contraceptive patch, and the IUD are effective methods of contraceptionthat may be good options for some women. Don't forget about dual protection. Use a condom as well to protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

THE RHYTHM METHOD
The rhythm method, also known as "determining the fertile period, is a method of fertility regulation that uses the menstrual cycle to predict your most fertile time of month - that is, when you're more likely to getpregnant . Once you've identified your most fertile time, you simply do not have sex or you must use a barrier method of contraception during that time.

LACTATIONAL AMENORRHEA METHOD (LAM) FOR WOMEN WHO ARE BREASTFEEDING
Effective against pregnancy during the first 6 months after childbirth in women who have not had their menstrual period after childbirth and are feeding their babies only breastmilk.
Only can be used by women who have given birth in last 6 months, fully breast feeding, and have not hadmenstrual period after childbirth.

NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING

Can be helpful for partners who are very careful and don't have sex during ovulation period and several days before and after.
Requires a lot of work- need careful instruction and the woman needs to figure out whenovulating

Can't have sexual intercourse for at least a week each month (during ovulation and several days before and after)

Teens and women with irregular periods should not use- failure rate is high.

THE PILL
The contraceptive pill (also called "the Pill") is a pill taken daily and contains estrogen and progesterone. Very effective against pregnancy if used correctly. Makes menstrualperiods more regular and lighter. Need to remember to take every day at the same time.
Can't be used by women with certain medical problems or by women taking certain medications.

The method easiest to use, is probably, the contraceptive combined pill. Two classes of packages exist: that of 28 days and that of 21 days.

THE CONDOMS

The condom, condom or male condom is a thin, elastic sleeveto cover the penis during intercourse to prevent fertilization, acting as a contraceptive method, and the possible spread of sexually transmitted diseases. The male condom he has joined since 1993, the female condom for insertion into the vagina.
