I know Missy since middle school but I didn’t knew much about her, but recently a watch a show called “Behind the Music”, it about the artist and their life, then I really knew her
She grewin poorness, she don’t have a bathroom, she was an only child, she and her parents only ate bread with butter, she was rapped by her cousin at 8 years old for almost a year but their parents didn’tknow, she was very shy and at the age of 14, one of the most scary things happen to her, her father put a gun in her mother and he said “I’m tire of you, I’m going to kill you”, Her mother was OKbecause since a lot time, her husband constantly beat her until she can even stand. But Missy run to her uncle’s house for help, they fight for the gun and her uncle get it. Finally Missy and her mothermove out to start a new life.
Since she wasn’t afraid of coming home and finding her mother dead, her life change, in school was the class-clown, she was doing rap in the hallway and talking, she wasborn again.
When she was in high school she formed a rap group with some friend and they act for a big artist at the time, and he offer they a contract, and after some time she conformed a croup calledthe basement, it was a group of artist making rap, but after some time, the leader of the basement was very controller, at the boiling point the basement cast was fighting because the leader was mad,but Missy wouldn’t come back to the fear of fighting so she quit of the basement.
