My Views Regarding Abstinence
Abstinence is a practice that can be very useful and advantageous for many teenagers, and should be done by everyone.Not practicing abstinence can lead to many unwanted outcomes like pregnancy, diseases or a complicated future. Abstinence is the only one hundred percent guaranteed way to prevent all these results.Wake up, teens and smell the diapers. Teens slow down, what is the big hurry to have premarital sex? Do you know what you are doing will have an effect on the rest of your life? Think about theconsequences of your actions. If you want to be a responsible adult, be one, and think about tomorrow versus the next 5 to 10 minutes. There are so many things that can happen to you when you are havingpremarital sex like pregnancy. Though a pregnancy is not a terminal condition, it is a hard road to travel on, and it won’t get easier. My advice to you is that you get your education and make sure youhave your feet on the ground before you decide to start being sexually active. There are approximately 2,000 pregnancies per day among unmarried teens.  A little more than a third of these, 750 perday, occur among teens under age 18. I don’t know about you, but when I hear these numbers, it gives me a nasty gut feeling. Well next time you think about taking a ride on the hormone train, rememberthese numbers, and ask yourself if u want to be one of those 2,000 teens.
Not practicing abstinence can also make you vulnerable to a lot of sexually transmitted diseases. There are about twentymajor STD’s in the world and it’s so easy to become infected with one. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are over 15 million cases of sexually transmitted disease casesreported annually in the United States.
