STATEMENT OF WORK TEMPLATE


1.0 INTRODUCTION

A Statement of Work (SOW) is used to describe the requirement of Identified Users for work to be performed by qualified Standing Offer Holders.The SOW is to accompany the Services Request Form. The requirement must be explicit and detail specific tasks and responsibilities of the Supplier so that questions of interpretation can be avoided.This SOW template has been designed specifically for Standing Offer requirements and should be followed as closely as possible. Note: Portions of the SOW template may not be as critical for eachrequirement, but some wording should be under each of the headings, depending on the importance of that area of the SOW.

2. KEY ELEMENTS OF A SOW:

a. Title: In a few words, identify as clearly aspossible what the requirement is about; as with a book, the title should get the picture across rapidly.

b. Background: Outline the reasons for the Call-up, what led to it; describe the biggerpicture of which the call-up, even the project, is part. This could include a short description of the organization: its mission, historical background, culture, structure, etc.

c. Scope: Describe,in general terms, the range, extent and boundaries of the work and the duration of the overall project.


d. Applicable Documents/Technical Specifications: Identify any documents that will beprovided to the Supplier in support of the task. Applicable documents are not to include documents that are not available to the Supplier at time of Call-up and must relate specifically to the task.e. Tasks: Identify all the tasks to be performed by the Supplier to reach the stated objective(s). This should include a detailed description of what is to be accomplished, the methodology to beused, the sequence in which the work is to be done, the required schedule for completion of each task and, even sometimes the milestones.
