On western christmas

This article is a criticism about the absence of Reason in Christmas as a spiritual and cultural experience, lack of reason that makes empty the experience, and sometimes, makes it go against the substance of the spiritual meaning of the holyday. 
When the ancient Roman Christians began to celebrate the Christmas on this date, there were already other holydays, which have claimed that day fortheir respective celebrations.
Paganism had developed a complete conception of the life and the relation between human beings and gods. Therefore there were a lot of rites that aimed at reach the gods' mercy, and their friendship.
December the 25th, was the moment when the days began to become longer, winter solstice, the cold days become hotter, so, the ancient people understood it as a sign ofthe new life, the way through which the gods showed each year that they had their hope in the humankind still.
Without a direct relation with the day, we could say that the Emperor was the gods' care biggest proof, because he was a god, a god made human.
So that, all those relations with the supernatural forces, was power relations, full of fear, and lacking reason.
Suddenly, a strange religionarrived to Rome, to Athens, to Europe to the farther Asia. The Jews, poor and uncultured people from the East, Rome vassals, had made a new party between them, but not only with a philosophical point of view.
They said that their God, the Jew's God, had made himself flesh and blood, had made himself a human being, and had claimed his kingdom, which was the government over the awarenesses, overthe whole life of everyone. The power of the Emperor, and of his gods, had been challenged, and the chase was immediate.
But they weren’t only a Jew party, in fact, they was a few of heretics, and wasn't appreciated between their own people. Peter, the leader, had been jailed many times, once and again, by their compatriots.
All that story, that hasn't finished yet, began in a little and unknowntown, almost far of the world, the Breads Town “Bethlehem”.
Since that moment, the human history wasn't the same, in fact, Christians and non Christians, have both to accept that the historical Jesus changed the way to see the world. The individualism, the search of the rational truth, the beginning of the rupture in the collectivism, began there, was o wasn't God that kid. No other is the placewhere the scientific method was found, is the Christianity, which gave to the humankind, the way to join reason and the search of the deepest human beings desires.
Decades after the moment when Jesus' former followers went to Rome and other cities saying people that the hidden things had been shown by the same Creator, Christians wanted to celebrate the moment when he had been born, but nobodyknew when it had been.
So, they chose the December 25th, because that date allowed them to keep in secret their feast, thus, their avoided the chase, and was closer to their neighbors.
Finally, the Church's hierarchy decided to establish this date as the Jesus' birthday, although they didn't know which the real date was.
We can say, so that, that Christianity is an heresy, ahead of both Judaismand roman religion, the Only God that become himself a man, and the stranger god that claimed for him the roman faith.
But not only the Christians took the pagan feasts for celebrate theirs owns, the polytheism found in the Christian faith expressions the way for keep itself alive.
Since then, there have been a lot of combinations between Christianity and Paganism, and the ways which each one ofthem uses for breath, by itself or in the other one.
Nowadays, limiting us to our country, we can find that most of the people feel that they're Christians, other of us think that they aren't Christians at all.
Really, there is, still, a weird mixture between Christian tradition and Paganism.
