USOS
La voz pasiva se usapara describir lo que le ocurre al sujeto de la frase. Las frases pasivas subrayan la acción del verbo, que en estos casos será más importante que el sujeto que realiza la acción.

RECUERDA
El objeto de una oración activa se convierte en sujeto de la pasiva:
People make this pen in China: This pen is made in China
Paulinvited Sally to the concert: Sally was invited to the concert
En la pasiva no siempre se menciona a la persona que realiza la acción. Cuando es necesario citarlo, va precedido de BY
Sally was invited to theconcert by Paul
La voz pasiva
Se utiliza principalmente para dar énfasis a la acción en lugar de quién la realiza. En español tenemos varias formas depasiva como vemos en el ejemplo. En inglés utilizaremos la misma estructura en ambos casos.
El árbol está hecho de billetes. Se venden animales en esta tienda.
