The Day America Cried

There are so many tragedies in human history. We cannot think about history without wars. Those events are the result of human’s natural instinct of superiority andmanipulation. One of those events was WWII. The United States are well known for their military capacity. They had won most of the wars in which they participated, but there is a case when they did not: Theattack to Pearl Harbor.
On december 7th, 1941, japanese aircraft attacked the naval base of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, where the U. S. war fleet was concentrated. Admiral Kimmel was in charge of the U.S base at Pearl Harbor. The American side despised Japanese capacity because, despite signs of a possible attack, the Americans thought that this operation would require the Japanese carriers, whichwould not be possible for the attack simultaneously.
The Japanese fleet consisted of three aircraft carriers, two battleships, two heavy cruisers, one light cruiser, sixteen destroyers and threesubmarines. On November 25, Admiral Yamamoto gives the order to launch the attack. Silence of navigation is the key to the success of the operation. When they crossed with an American boat, English orDutch they should sink it, if it was of another nationality, they should capture it. They did not use the radio, to make silence, but other Japanese ships augmented their message to serve as adistraction.
On December 6th the United States intercepted a Japanese message in which they gave instructions to the ambassador for the December 7th to officially communicate a breakdown of peace negotiations.This message was sent to the boss of naval operations, Admiral Stark, then to the State Secretary. An hour later the message arrived to the Chief of General Staff, George Marshall. It was proposed toalert the army, but this was denied, so George Marshall redacted a personal message, alerting for a possible attack. This message was send at 12 p. m. in Washington, but when it arrived to Hawaii...
