Peasant Letter

Dear diary:
I have been thinking that the feudal system is not that great. It is very un fair because you can never move up or down from your social class, no matter how hard or poorly you work. Iam a peasant , I work really hard and that’s why I am a free peasant and I have my own small plot of land so that I can have my own crops. But there are peasants that don’t work as hard as I do andthat is why they are serfs, that means they are un free, and that is why they don’t have their own piece of land to farm in, they only work in the lords’ land and they cannot leave the lords’ property.Although I don’t like the feudal system, I have to admit that it has its good side. It gives us protection and order.
The feudal system has 4 social classes, once you are born in one, you can neverchange of class, you cannot move up or down. The highest class in the system is the monarchs. They own the land and are in charge of everything, with the help of their vassals or the nobles. Thesecond highest class was the lords and ladies. They were members of the nobility. Their job was to defend their land and the people who work and live in it, they worked also as judges. Noble women takecare and raised their own children and other children. They needed to be in charge of the people how worked inside the house. Knights are another class in the social system. Knights are the once whoprovide protection to the kingdom. They are expected to be loyal to their church and lord, to be just and fair, and to protect the helpless. They have 14 years of training before they become a knight.The last once in the social class is us, the peasants. We work the farm of our lord and get paid back with some land if we work hard. The once who don’t work hard enough are the serfs .peasants canalso be carepenters, metal workers, shoemakers, tended livestock, and they could be other skilled workers.
In conclusion , I wish the feudal system was a little different. So if you did hard work ,...
