the history of physical education reflect people's attitudes about physical activity. from prehistory times, because survival was related to physical stamina and to people's ability to find food, noseparate physical fitness programs were needed . gradually , ancient societies in china , egipt, greece and rome adopted physical education as parte of military training. As the more developedcountries value the scholarly life, physical education lost favor. many developed countries have had to strike a balance between physical and intellectual interests .
la historia de la educaciónfísica reflejan actitudes de la gente sobre la actividad física. desde la prehistoria,porque la supervivencia se relaciona con la resistencia física y capacidad de las personas para encontrar comida, no hayprogramas separados de educación física se necesitan. poco a poco, las sociedades antiguas en China, Egipt, Grecia y Roma adoptó la educación física como instancia de parte de la formación militar. Amedida que los países más desarrollados, aprecian la vida académica, la educación física perdió el favor. muchos países desarrollados han tenido que encontrar un equilibrioentre losintereses materiales e intelectuales.
in one high point of ancient history, greks come to the forefront in the era 700 to 600 BC with their quest for physical and intellectual perfection . In numerous festivals,Athenians celebrated the beautyof the human form in dance, art, religious rites and athletics. athenians honored the gods of olympus especially zeus with the first olympic games. The olympic gamesoffered a civilizing influence , with social disregardedand all citizens judged on athletic competition . if a war was being fought, it was halted during the olimpus games. Many historians regardathenian culture as the height of early physical education, but like their chinese predecessors,the athenians felt the competing influence of intellectualism.
