RESUMEN.Elaborar un horario es un proceso por elque atraviesa constantemente cualquier institución que necesite organizar un cronograma de trabajo o eventos; en el ámbito docente organiza un conjunto de actividades destinadas al eficaz aprendizaje de los estudiantes. En la mayoría de las instituciones educativas esta tarea se realiza de forma manual, haciendo engorrosa y difícil la labor del planificador debido a los múltiples conflictos alasignar y coordinar las actividades, es por ello que surge la necesidad de automatizar el proceso. Los algoritmos genéticos como técnica de búsqueda y optimización han sido utilizados en este contexto. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de un sistema para la generación automática de horarios con una base científica y metodológica, contribuyendo de esta forma a minimizar eltiempo y contribuir a la planificación docente de cualquier institución educativa. Primeramente se realiza un estudio de las principales investigaciones relacionadas con la planificación de horarios docentes, identificando los tipos de restricciones a considerar para una planificación eficaz. Adicionalmente, la búsqueda de sistemas similares para la generación automática de dichos horarios secentra en el uso de algoritmos genéticos.
También son analizadas metodologías de desarrollo de software, herramientas y lenguajes para garantizar la calidad del sistema propuesto. Para validar el funcionamiento de la propuesta de software se define una estrategia de prueba acorde con los requerimientos de la metodología de desarrollo utilizada.
ABSTRACTDeveloping a schedule is a process that isconstantly present in any institution that needs to organize a work schedule or event, organized in teaching a set of activities aimed at an effective student learning. Most educational institutions this task is performed manually, making it cumbersome and difficult the task of the scheduler due to the multiple conflicts in allocating and coordinating the activities, which is why there is a need toautomate the process. Genetic algorithms as optimization search technique have been used in this context.
This research aims to develop a system for automatically generating schedules with a scientific and methodological basis, thus helping to minimize the time and contribute to the educational planning at the School. Firstly, a study of the major research related to planning class schedules isdone, identifying the types of constraints to consider for an effective planning. Additionally, the search of similar systems for automatic generation of such schedules is focused on using genetic algorithms.
