-Global stocks rebounded from the worst week since September and commodities snapped a three-day drop as China signaled it would support the economy and German and French officials prepared to meet. Treasuries, gold and the yen fell while the dollar was littlechanged.

-Concern Greece will exit the euro erased about $4 trillion from global stock markets this month

-Facebook Inc. fell below its offering price of $38 in pre-market trading after the stock climbed 0.6 percent to $38.23 in New York on May 18, its first day oftrading.

-European stocks climbed, rebounding from last week’s biggest selloff since September, as China’s pledge to boost growth outweighed concern that Greece may be forced to leave the euro area.

-Carmakers paced advancing shares as analysts recommended Renault SA(RNO) and Fiat SpA. (F) Barclays Plc rose after saying it plans to sell its entire $6.1 billion stake in BlackRock Inc. Ryanair (RYA) Holdings Plc declined 2.2 percent after the discount airline forecast that earnings will fall this year.

-“There is going to be an element of bargain hunting as investors look to top up their holdings on the basis of slightly lower prices,” said Richard Hunter,head of equities at Hargreaves Lansdown Stockbrokers in London

-The yen fell 0.4 percent against the dollar, and was little changed against the euro the euro. The yield on the 10-year Japanese government bond rose one basis point to 0.84 percent.

-Alibaba GroupHolding Ltd., China’s largest e-commerce provider, agreed to repurchase about a 20 percent stake in itself from U.S. Web portal Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) for about $7.1 billion ahead of a potential initial public offering.

-Yahoo will receive at least $6.3 billion in cash and as much as $800 million in newly issued Alibaba preferred stock, the companies said in a statement today. At the time of an IPO,Alibaba will be required to either buy back a quarter of Yahoo’s current stake or let Yahoo sell the shares. The deal values Alibaba at about $35 billion.
